What to Expect from Bridal Alterations

A strong alteration plan begins with an event date inquiry and a careful review of the garment. This helps set a realistic schedule, especially for bridal gowns and formal dresses that need staged fittings and precise adjustments.

During the initial fitting, we assess the bodice, straps, hem, train, and fastening points as needed. Depending on the construction, the work may involve a bridal-gown fitting plan, occasion-dress alterations, hem and train adjustment, bodice and strap refitting, or bustle and fastening adjustment.

Clear fitting stages, careful construction review, and final checks before collection.

For bridal and occasionwear pieces, every adjustment starts with the garment itself. We review the fabric, seam allowances, and fit goals before recommending a plan that suits the event timeline.

Pricing is based on the garment review and fitting needs, not on a fixed quote before inspection. Once the construction and requested changes are understood, we provide a staged plan with deadlines and approved alterations before any additional work continues.

Most projects include one to two fittings, with a final fitting arranged before collection. We also check the garment again at pickup so any small final adjustment can be handled carefully without changing the agreed design.
